World Electric Vehicle Day: Tork Motors launches Pit Crew, a mobile service van

Tork Motors has deployed its unique mobile service van – Pit Crew. Aligned with the theme of World Electric Vehicle Day, the van will meet customers’ sales and after-sales needs at their doorstep.

Drawing inspiration from the brand’s motorsport heritage, the Pit Crew is designed to provide ease and convenience for Kratos owners. Currently operating in Pune, this van will also serve as a compact showroom and wheeled service center with the capability for periodic motorcycle maintenance.

The company says the Tork Motors van can accommodate three motorcycles for delivery. It also carries all the tools, spare parts and other consumables needed to support immediate and last-minute maintenance of the vehicle.

The GPS and WiFi vehicle is thermally insulated to maintain a lower temperature inside the van. The vehicle is also connected to the cloud to detect any software errors and provide necessary updates for the motorcycles during maintenance, similar to the experience of race pit crew.

Kapil Shelke, Founder and CEO of Tork Motors, said: “The versatile Pit Crew will be the first point of contact to connect with customers of our upcoming dealership partners across India as they can start operations while showrooms are getting ready. With this distinctive business model, we seek to strengthen our service network as well as expand our reach across cities,” added Shelke.

It is equipped with a 4000 watt inverter with a 5.4 kWh battery and two 700 watt motorcycle chargers for on-site vehicle charging needs. Additionally, dry cleaning and polishing of motorcycles can be done inside the van with considerable space divided into offices and service areas.

Tork Motors will deploy these vehicles in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Ahmedabad by the end of this financial year. The company also began delivering motorcycles to customers in a unique 1:18 scale box, rekindling childhood memories.
