Rivian Adopts Mobile Service Model for Maximum Convenience

Rivian Service promises to provide a proactive and personal approach to mobile vehicle service. Rivian appears to have developed a complex mobile service model to make vehicle servicing more convenient for R1T and R1S owners.

Live updates will support Rivian’s mobile service model to continuously optimize a vehicle’s performance. Most of the live updates will take place at night, which is more convenient for owners.

The company’s mobile service will also be supported by Rivian Remote Care, allowing the company to perform full diagnostics remotely. With Rivian Remote Care, technicians can proactively identify most vehicle problems before the owner even notices them.

“We diagnose vehicles remotely and pre-order parts if necessary. By the time we arrive for your mobile service appointment, we are ready to resolve your issue on the spot, ”said Edwin, a technician from Rivian Service.

Rivian will have a fleet of mobile service vans ready for deployment at any time. Rivian mobile technicians can answer calls to an owner’s home, workplace, or anywhere service is needed in the United States and Canada. Rivian plans to expand its mobile services as it reaches other markets.

Rivian technicians will also take vehicles requiring extensive maintenance to service centers and then return them to owners. The company will provide a loan to owners while their cars are serviced at the service center. Rivian did not specify which vehicles will be used as a loan.

Rivian plans to soon open more than 40 service centers in the United States and Canada. More service centers are planned for the future as Rivian grows. The company has also set up a network of collision centers owned by Rivian and certified by Rivian for bodywork and exterior damage.

Rivian Service appears to go hand in hand with the company’s warranty coverage. Rivian’s warranty system is also quite complex. It includes a full warranty, battery warranty, transmission warranty, and perforation corrosion warranty.
