New vape and mobile shop opens in Castle Street Norwich
A new vape and tech store has opened in the city center hoping to provide an affordable alternative to big brand outlets.
iVape/iMobile Norwich opened in Castle Street on October 26 and is the second of its kind in the city, the other being located in Brigg Street.
The shop offers vape and mobile accessories while servicing a range of tech such as PCs, tablets and smartphones.
Customers can also visit one of 21 stores across the UK to buy or sell an old phone.
Store manager Muhamed Abid Samim says recent success is due to the brand’s affordable service.
The 27-year-old said: “One of the main reasons for our success and the fact that we were able to open a new store is that we are cheaper than the main technology brands.
“Fixing something in these kinds of stores can be expensive and people can’t always afford it.
“However, we can repair people’s products for less with similar, universal parts that work the same way.
“With the cost of living crisis worsening, people are trying to save money wherever they can and most can’t spend hundreds of pounds to fix their phone if something goes wrong.
“The price gap makes a difference and more and more people are starting to recognize that.”
With business booming, the company is also setting up a pop-up vape stand at the Castle Mall next week.
Abid added: “Business has been great recently and especially with the Christmas period approaching, it’s good that we were able to open the second store in time for what hopefully will be an even busier time for we.
“The Castle Mall pop-up stand will be here over the next year and should help bring the company’s name to more customers in the city.”
For those looking to get their tech repaired, iVape/iMobile Norwich is offering several discounts until the end of November.
Abid said, “For people who visit the Castle Street store, everyone will get 50% off their phone repairs, plus 20% off all phone and vape accessories.”
