Is Network Three down? Customers are reporting issues to the wireless service provider – what you need to know
The Three mobile network crashed, leaving its UK users unable to make or receive calls.
The company confirmed that it was having problems.
In a Tweet, the telephone network wrote: “We are currently experiencing technical issues with some calls. Please accept our apologies if it affected you, our engineers are working hard to solve it.
“Check back here for updates.”
According to the Down Detector website, the problems started around 5 a.m. today (October 14).
The company fixed the problem almost three hours later.
The company has so far received 1,500 complaints about the accident.
Three network users took to Twitter to express their frustrations over the blackout.
A user named Kelly wrote in a Tweet: “Three was my favorite network, I’m starting to get so frustrated with all of these complications. I don’t know what I’m paying for anymore.”
Another added: “@ThreeUKSupport I can’t phone or people can’t phone me and the same goes for people who are on the #Three #help ‘network”
The crash follows global outages of apps like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
There have also been blackouts for Sky Broadband, Talk and Zoom over the past two months.
In September, Talk and Sky Broadband crashed for two hours, preventing users in eastern and central Scotland from accessing the internet.
At the end of August, Zoom suffered an hour-long outage that prevented its users from accessing the app.
The social media app, Snapchat, also broke yesterday. The issue was resolved four hours after the crash.
There is no indication of when Network Three will be operational at this time.
