DeepVerge PLC says Modern Water Mobile Service will go live with the ability to detect three variants of Covid

Scientists at the company’s York lab tested the real-world application of Optimer Linkages

DeepVerge PLC (AIM:DVRG) said its soon-to-be-launched modern aquatic mobile service will go live with the ability to detect the Alpha, Delta and Omicron variants of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The update follows an analysis of MicrotoxPD chips coated with Optimer binding agents developed and supplied by partner Aptamer Group.

Scientists at DeepVerge’s York lab successfully populated the linkers on the chips with an anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody.

“The broader scientific community will now have the ability to monitor the virus in real time and demand testing for new variants of concern,” Chief Executive Gerard Brandon said.
